	Bagging Programs Industry studies have shown that providing your customers with the option of purchasing multiple fresh avocados in a bagged format will increase the volume of consumer “Impulse Buys”. McDaniel & Chirico’s state-of-the-art bagging capabilities, can provide you with fresh Linda-Vista brand bagged-avocados in a wide array of counts and sizes on a year-round basis.Our bagged-avocados are attractively packaged, display the appropriate UPC Bar Code, are available in various display carton configurations, and will capture the attention of your avocado customers. Linda-Vista brand bagged-avocados provide a complimentary, natural, secondary display to your fresh bulk avocado display. Linda-Vista “bagged” avocados are available in the standard industry configurations as shown in the chart to the left, or can be customized to meet your requirements.
	Lug Boxes Our lug boxes feature stickered fruit in a variety of sizes. They are 25 lbs(11.2 kilos) net weight and are palletized on 40″x48″ grocery pallets.Select 2 is our Choice grade label, and is available in the same variety of sizes. 25 lb. or 11.2 Kilo carton with “Easy Open / Easy Close pushdown Tops” (none glued) Also Available in both “Conventionally grown” and “Organically grown” grades. 	Display Cartons Attractive Linda-Vista ™ brand store ready display cartons are available to create colorful avocado in store displays and help boost sales by increasing customer options and providing additional opportunities for impulse purchases… display cartons can be used with bagged Linda-Vista ™ product or loose bulk avocados. Display cartons hold approximately 25% more product that the traditional 11.2 kilo carton and are stacked 66 cartons per pallet
	Bag Stands Available Now – Access your “Valuable /Vertical” unused produce aisle selling space with one of McDaniel’s “sturdy and safe” 4 foot tall “avocado bag stands”… specifically produced for Linda-Vista bagged product programs with space for advertising insert on top of the rack. The use of this style of bagged produce rack strategically position will create increased Impulse sales!
	RPC’s As our industry continues to search for more economically efficient ways to safely transport produce, a reoccurring theme has been the creation of a universal common carton footprint. While there are several competing ideas in the universal common carton footprint, one that has consistently emerged on top is the RPC (Returnable Plastic Container). McDaniel & Chirico has designed and engineered into its fresh avocado production line the capability of packing into RPC’s at the same time we are packing into our traditional corrugated cardboard cartons.

McDaniel & Chirico has been growing quality avocados since 1944. Our network of independent avocado growers from all major avocado growing countries provide us with the ability to harvest, package and distribute delicious Linda-Vista™ brand avocados year round.

California Avocados

At McDaniel & Chirico, we have been growing quality avocados since 1944. With a collective network of California growers from the Mexican border to San Luis Obispo County, we harvest a variety of avocados year-round.

McDaniel’s California avocado orchards, and those orchards owned and operated by our independent California grower base are located in every major California growing district. These growing districts are famous for their mild semi-tropical climates and are perfect growing grounds for the production of great tasting Linda-Vista brand avocados. Pre-conditioning can also be done to our customer specifications in our gas rooms.

Chilean Avocados

Chilean avocado groves are located in a similar range of latitudes to California, but in the Southern Hemisphere. Chilean fruit is mature when Californian Fruit is at the transition between the late and early season (August through February). This condition gives the Chilean industry a market well-primed by the momentum of California avocado sales. Although Chile grows many varieties of avocados, they concentrate primarily on the Hass variety for export to the United States.

McDaniel & Chirico receives Chilean Hass avocados only from Chilean growers who can produce and deliver the safest and highest quality grade avocados that we demand for our Linda-Vista brand avocados.

Mexican Hass Avocados / Peruvian Hass Avocados

McDaniel & Chirico’s international Linda-Vista brand avocado sourcing network reaches deep into the heart of the prime growing regions of Mexico, and to the highest avocado growing plateaus of the Andes mountains in Peru. In these areas some of the finest quality Hass avocados in the world are grown and McDaniel is there. McDaniel & Chirico works in partnership with only the best grower partners in these offshore regions to secure the finest quality avocados for packaging in all of our Linda-Vista brand avocado products.

All McDaniel & Chirico offshore partners follow strict internationally-required food safety protocols and guidelines, as well as U.S. distribution food-safety requirements. Each grower and every facility employed by McDaniel in our offshore avocado sourcing pipeline are constantly monitored and audited by independent third party organizations to ensure that every Linda-Vista brand avocado you receive is of the quality demanded by today’s consumer.

ripening Program

The avocado industry’s most successful innovation in many years has been the introduction of “Ripe Avocado Programs” and McDaniel & Chirico is on the cutting edge of this great industry advancement.

Retailers who have adopted a RIPE avocado program format have seen time and time again immediate increased unit sales of 20% to 40% and more in same store sales in quarter over quarter comparisons. This growth is primarily driven by the fact that the consumer can use the product that evening, or within 2-3 days of purchase. This ease of use has been proven to trigger an increase in impulse buying of additional units.

In addition to increased sales there is a noticeable decline in the percentage of “product shrink” due to the quicker turnover in a “properly coordinated” ripe avocado program.
